The Xantrex Battery Temperature Sensor (BTS) is a replacement BTS designed for Freedom 458 inverter/charger series. The sensor has a 15 foot cable attached and it mounts on a terminal post of the battery in a bank or on the side of a battery. It measures the temperature of the battery and automatically adjusts voltage ensuring that the batteries are recharged completely.
